    Speaking as someone who owns Village and RE4R on macOS, it pains me a little to see ‘PC’ instead of WIN/MAC. By the end of this year 4 of those games will be on macOS and iOS. Capcom going after all the platforms. Interesting to see the shift over time. Regardless, thanks for the data.

    What would happen if Nintendo released a AAA capable console in November 2030? That would be 5 years after the Switch 2 and in the middle of the PS6 era.

    If Sony did these novelty cross platform releases rarely, maybe twice in a gen, I'd say it was a good bit of PR to reach out to other markets. But with a back drop of porting nearly everything to other platforms it just looks a mess. Asking for a competent competitor to show up.

    That's a fair point. Anyone with a Steam account, take a look at your 2023 year in review. It has stats for playtime based on the age of games. The percentage of Steam playtime in games released: in 2023: 9% in the last 1-7 years: 52% 8 or more years ago: 38%

    I think scores are the problem. There will never be consistency from different sources. All you need is YES / NO / MAYBE This is why I find steam reviews are generally more helpful, even though it doesn't have a 'maybe' option.
