At ~25m50s, John seems to have an epiphany on what many people have known for years, that GamePass and similar services have steadily been eroding the perception of value that people give to videogames and that's one of the main precursors of the current shrinking market.
Don't worry, DF is a division of Eurogamer, they receive PC hardware from vendors for review, including marketing reviews.
I think they will always choose the "right" side.
If Hellblade 2 scores over 85, then it'll play out just as you stated.
