Of course, their 1st party like 60 40 physical and 3rd party AAA like 40 60 physical.
And Sony knows how popular AAA physical releases are.
It is huge numbers when you sell millions.
Sony and others would be idiots ignore it.

And so will PlayStation then, it's the biggest differentiating feature left.
Nobody has shot at beating Steam in a digital only market. Maybe Sony is right to just accept defeat after all, if you can't beat them, port your games to their platform and give them a 30% cut.
We still have physical dvds and music cds to this day even vinyls.

That doesn't mean publishers will continue to put out physical versions of games, but yeah there will still be first and second-hand copies of old games available on physical media.

Exactly, publishers are little by little not putting out physical. Even Hellblade 2 doesn't have a physical which is dumb.
Poor example. M$ are against physical. They want to control all masses to impose they anti competitive practices.
Their were barely selling like 5-10% of their games physically.
In Completely different situation are Playstation and Nintendo
