Nah if it's being released this holiday season mass production should be ramping up right now, which means the tape-out happened last year so the specs would have been set in stone.Production units could have an even higher boost clock. A month ago the clock was presented as 2.18GHz, now it's 2.35GHz.
My guess is devkits using earlier engineering sample chips use conservative clocks because they don't know how high the production units can reach within a certain power consumption and heat release, and then towards the release date they release the final clocks.
