AMD shows off Radeon RX 7000 graphics card with RDNA3 architecture​



During the official Ryzen 7000 announcement today, AMD CEO Dr. Lisa Su also presented the upcoming Radeon 7000 graphics card.

During the live demo, AMD CEO confirmed that a Radeon 7000 is currently running at AMD labs, and its performance looks ‘absolutely wonderful’. She also reaffirms previous claims that upcoming architecture will provide 50% performance per watt uplift over RDNA2.

AMD is also showcasing its new Radeon card alongside the new Ryzen flagship CPU (7950X) in a first public demo. AMD chose Lies of P for their demo. The company has demonstrated GPU at 4K resolution with Ultra settings running on preproduction RDNA3 GPU.

Looks like Zen 4 is solely AVX 512 for instruction set.
It is DDR5 only too... no more support for DDR4.

They expect a 13% increase in IPC and higher clocks than Zen 3... combined with clock AMD expect a jump in 29% in single threaded performance.
I think most IPC gains is due the L2 cache being doubled compared with Zen 3.

The Zen 4, in special 7950X, is the most power hungry CPU Zen chip released by AMD with a TDP of 170W... the PPT will be limited to 230W (when Turbo take place).
