After PT, Silent Hills surely was a blow.

Without further information since the reveal, I guess Pikmin 4 could also be counted here.

The Last Guardian would have been the worst one for me. The initial trailer got me hyped. The music, Trico, the fact that it was the next Ueda game after SotC - my favorite game ever. Fortunately it didn't get cancelled, although I had to wait for almost a decade for it.

Jade Raymond and Amy from Uncharted were also making a big Star Wars games for years then it was cancelled. What a waste of money. These companies are so stupid

I was pissed at PS2 game Jurassic Park Survivior being cancelled. I was ready for that after Dino Crisis 2.

I'm going to put Duke Nukem Forever down here, as although the game did eventually release, it was basically nothing like what we were originally sold on, proved by recent footage of development builds, before Gearbox stepped in to basically rebuild it from the shell of prototypes they had to hand from the project. I grew up with Duke from his 2d platforming beginnings of Apogee Software, so this one particularly hurt.

PT. was by far the worst.
But I would like to add MGSV too, the game clearly wasnt finished. Fuck Konami.

I've just remembered that there was an announced Black&White PS2 version, which never saw the light because - most probably - of the Lionhead acquisition (RIP).

I read the article over and over again in a PlayStation magazine. Still wish we got some more after B&W2.

Scalebound, It was the one Xbox game that made me think about getting a Xbox but as it was cancelled i didn't bother.

WWF Backlash 64

WWF Backlash 64 was supposed to be the follow-up to one of the best pro wrestling games of all time - No Mercy 64. The reason this game never saw the light of day was a little different from the rest of the games on this list.

Backlash 64 was about 30% into development when the plug was pulled on the project because the N64 was close to the end of its life cycle. Sadly, there's almost no other information on this cancelled game.

This was really my chance to shine. Rumour has it that I was to be the final boss and WWF champion in the story mode. Aki really was asleep at the controls letting this one go off the rails.

I think Starfield (PS5) would be mine. I am a huge fan of Bethesda, Oblivion on PS3 changed everything I ever knew about 3D games - it was beyond anything I ever imagined a game would accomplish. I feel like this is another game that has that Todd Howard stamp on it that could be something special. Just don't know if I'll be there to experience it.

Personally in terms of a game I wanted I would say PT Silent hill tease leading to nothing.

In the industry though and in terms of how fucked up it was I would have to say Fable Legends. Spent millions on it, got a beta then boom game cancelled and the studio shuttered. Praise Phil Spencer.

Yeah PT was so disappointing and when I upgraded to pro I didnt realize about PT being on my base PS4....

Lionhead closure was pretty shocking at the time.
