It's definitely a bias against PS, but this also makes me question how many Steamlickers are on the spectrum. This kind of antisocial lunacy is just cringe otherwise. And see how delulu they are thinking PC has any import whatsoever in the traditional gaming market.
That is Sony's knee jerk reaction to the massive backlash, hopefully they learn to prevent easily preventable issues in the future, but I would not hold my breath.
Sony just need a PS PC launcher for gamers on PC to play there games. They don’t need a PS PC launcher to compete w Steam look at Riot launcher or Take 2 own launcher it’s literally just a launcher for gamers & there fans to easily play there games while ignoring Steam & Epic. Why did Sony bend the knee? Hmm maybe because they were looking at the short term instead of long term. Which is dangerous now they have to deal with this fiasco
i agree. they had to make a warning below the price on Steam, that PSN is disable for short time because it is broken for short time and it is mandatory otherwise.
i don't think that they thought that it will be blown out of proportion. but we know, that PC people are most entitle players in this world.
Riot Launcher is in the same way as Battle.net, a history of being entrenched into the PC community. A Sony launcher will not be that way, just like Win Store and EGS.
In the future I would roll out the game bit by bit to a limited ammount of players and would require a PSN creation from the start from those players. Sony massively underestimated the succes this game had and TBH I do not think anyone could have predicted HD 2 to blow up so much.

it's too much entitlement for players that would not even receive a single piece of content 5 years ago, this Sony right here needs to come back, want to play PlayStation games, either buy the fucking console or sign in to PS Launcher on PC, enough of this good neighboorhod simpathy, it's about time they realize that they compete directly with Valve in the gaming storefront segment, specially with Steam Deck around

Their execution of this has been the same from day one , if there were issues with linking ps network with the game at launch that a Dev issue so people should be blaming arrowhead if they're actually mad about it
Sony isn't owed business. They are not your friends. They are a company who's goal is to make money.
Then maybe Sony needs to buy CDPR for GOG or Take 2 for Rockstar launcher. Is there any other prominent launcher? Maybe Hoyoverse but since there tied to china i don’t see a acquisition of them
Sony needs to control & moderate there games on PC someway.
the biggest mistake they made was rushing this PC strategy, it should be implemented only when they had their own storefront ready to go, i said this multiple times, if you inure these people to know they can get playstation content on other storefronts they'll resist change eventually, we're currently seeing that with a simple account requirement
their games are clearly not making enough money, other than Helldivers 2 everything they ported to PC so far underperformed compared to sales on PlayStation, took Horizon Zero Dawn 4 years to sell 3 million units

Sony needs to buy Kadokawa/Fromsoft & make there games exclusive to PS & if they make a multiplayer live service make it exclusive to the PS PC launcher.
Sony needs to consolidate so they can compete with PC & have those gamers by the balls. Capcom & Kadokawa needs to be acquired & made exclusive & invest 40% into Square Enix so technically there independent but you have enough shares to make Final Fantasy & Dragon Quest super ngleplayer games exclusive. I hope that Paramount deal fails I would rather see WB
the moment they buy someone like FromSoftware and make their future games PS Launcher exclusives these dudes will be obligated to use their launcher, then we'll see how mad they'll get about it, i've never seen in my life such toxic and hypocritical fanboys as Valve fanboys, literally, what we've seeing is evident real life proof of that
