HiFi Rush is one of my most favorite games this gen, and a sequel would've been amazing. They should sell the IP to Nintendo or PlayStation....Arkane Austin was, not a loss. Although I feel for the devs. But Tango? Damn. So we’re never getting a sequel to Hi-Ri Rush. SMH.

After years of getting gaslight these employees and studios were now safe. They took the IPs and shutdown the studios. Worst than Embracer. Is the industry and the xbots finally going to wake up to MS?

Hi-Fi was a critical success. But it flopped sales wise. Sad because it was a great game. But Xbox and PC fans don’t like those types of games. This is why Xbox fanboys sound stupid, when they say “sales don’t matter”. This is proof that they do.

Arkane Austin was especially fucked because, in their chase towards that co-op experience, they bled all their long time talent that weren't interested in working on Redfall.

A manager probably looked at Hi-Fi Rush’s sales numbers and told his boss to cut costs there instead of looking at the creative potential of the studio and investing in it. MS is a middle manager environment, there is no place for creativity or long-term investments.
MS will always be a threat until they leave the gaming industry.
Amazing game. I got it for Steam Deck and I’ll be double dipping for PS5. I hear the Dualsense makes it much better. I hope the director gets his own studio and makes a spiritual successor somewhere. He has talent.

Yes but you need to be rational. This news about MS shutting down Tango, will be seen every small to big studio in Japan. There is no way Sega or any other Japanese pub who would sell to MS. Thou I still agree that Sony needs definitely to buy Square Enix as a defensive counter measurement, also because of other threats like Tencent.

If I was Sony or Nintendo, I'm hiring John Johanas ASAP. I bought HiFi on Steam day 1, and once the limitedrun games preorder for PS5 physical releases, I'm also double dipping.
Microsoft is saving these studios by acquiring publishers. Gamepass allows them to not care about sales, and get infinite money for projects!
