Heard that patch 4 has addressed a lot of bugs in Act 3. I've run into a few which were very minor like facial animation not being in sync with the dialogue. Any major bugs on your end?
Yeah, the sound design is good, and the echo effect when casting spells is 👌 I haven't explored everything but I haven't rushed it either because there is so much compelling stuff to do and discover in the game. I fully intend to replay it, making different decisions. I've also just been mostly...
54 Hours In, I'm in Act 2. The game deserves all the high praise it's getting. Proper RPG, very reactive to the player. Amazing companions with good backstories, and very good character development(something I find rare in video games compared to other media). Great voice acting. The narrator is...
I can see why he did. He likes games that give players a lot of agency and freedom and Halo Infinite's campaign had a lot of that more than any other Halo campaign. Scores don't matter much to me, I like reading or hearing about a reviewer's opinions.
Seems like Gene Park is the only person with a review code who has the same gaming sensibilities as myself. More interested in his opinion over whatever score the game gets.
The thing that annoys me the most about Bethesda Games. My actions with a faction should affect my standing with an opposed faction to the point of mission failure. Give me a reason to replay the game and make different decisions.
Most of the QA is fine. Meets my expectation of a Bethesda game.
It's legitimate for fans of a franchise to voice their complaint if a previously multiplatform game goes exclusive. It doesn't make you less of an adult. You might be ok with the practice, but at least try to understand that people have an issue with it especially if it's a publisher doing it...
FF16 should have been a multiplat as well to reduce the risk. At the very least release on PC. Imagine how supporters of the FF franchise of PC and Xbox feel about the deal to have FF16 not released on their platform.
SE has more money to invest in marketing and selling its game better than...
You know guys, there's the 2nd half of the equation where you need to show how FF16 was soo risky that Square Enix had to make a deal with Sony for exclusivity. I wasn't the one who brought up risk in the conversation. I simply pointed out that if FF16 is too risky, then ER would have looked...
This is simple mathematics, no need to obfuscate things. Are you really saying that most of Xbox's revenue minus revenue gained from PC, a total of $14B-$15B, comes from PlayStation as opposed to royalties from sales on their platform, Game Pass and hardware sales? Come on man. Maybe you are the...
From this article, it states that annual revenue from PC is around 1B, I'd imagine it's even less from PS. Keep in mind Xbox's annual revenue is about 15-16B. I highly doubt your 3rd-party publishing arm theory.
Why wouldn't I keep the same energy with Xbox? Those multiplatform games shouldn't go exclusive. You should keep the same energy with Playstation when multiplatform games go exclusive.
No, it's not. Xbox owners buy video games. Currently, the majority of Microsoft's gaming revenue comes from the cut they get in sales of video games. Alienating them doesn't equal support from PS owners. Such a move gets support from rabid PS console warriors who are a very tiny(almost...
Most of the time, exclusivity benefits the platform holder way more than it does the independent developer hence it's safe to assume the developer is due some sort of compensation for going exclusive. For indies, stuff like ID@Xbox is more effective than a marketing deal that requires...
How does that follow from my logic? I specifically mentioned independent studios/ publishers. 1st party exclusives are the platform holder's investment they can do what they want with the game.
I'd want exclusives born out of unique features from the consoles/platform, e.g., All PSVR games are...
I hope it isn't. Not a fan of independent studios/publishers making exclusives. It starts tying its brand with the platform holder and such a relationship might not be healthy for the industry.
I'm a big fan of BGS's work. Starfield looks to be their most ambitious game yet and I hope they stick the landing.
The gunplay looks to have improved. I hope their character work has as well. I hope they've gotten enough support from Xbox to get their games less buggy.
All in all, I'm hyped...
