One is from 1999, most are much newer, lol
Don't be hard on yourself. A market isn't measured by "number of entrants in said market". The market is measured by dollars spent in said market. That's what's in freefall in the SP space. All your graph shows is how easy cheap shovelware is...
You list off a bunch of games that are barely 10 years old in a medium that's almost 60 years old.
You used this tactic because you thought no one would notice, but we all noticed. No one here actually thinks the old SP game is the future of the medium. No one. Not a single person. So...
If I was wrong, you people wouldn't be obsessed with me and GAAS.
But we all know I'm right. The inevitable is coming and you all see it.
I just think it's funny how personal you all take it. Enjoy your old games!
Nobody cares about a game that can only sell 1.5 million copies after over 2 months on the market. The game is irrelevant.
What fascinates me is observing how the corporations have turned so many into message board zombies...fighting some imaginary fight that doesn't impact anyone lol
Cry harder
A hit single in an era of super carriers.
Not 3 years...6 years...the Astro Bot pack in generated 0 revenue.
Not cringe, correct. At least you got the c right.
30 - 60 developers working on a game for 6 years and only selling 1.5 million is not the home run many of you wanted it to be. This studio isn't out of the woods yet.
Because that model doesn't benefit from views. TV shows and movies make money based on the highest bidder.
Game as the platform need as many players spending money in their echo system as possible.
Very big and obvious difference.
Imagine going up to a Best Buy employee and asking him/her "Now which movies are exclusive to this Sony Blu Ray player?"
You guys are the Black Knight from Monty Python.
Imagine Team Asobi going in to talk to PlayStation...
"So you only sold 1.5 million copies of a game since Astro Bot Rescue Mission?
"Yeah but at least we outsold Concord!"
Jason Shreiers "Is Astro Bot the way forward for PlayStation" tweet looks so dumb now.
I was ridiculed for saying Astro Bot would be lucky to sell 3 million copies.
1.5m copies in its first 9 weeks shows I am a prophet. Where are my doubters now? Hiding in the tall grass where they belong...
HD DVD vs Blu Ray were competing formats, not movie playing manufacturers.
Nobody has any idea what this means.
Sony, Phillips, and Samsung all make DVD / Blu Ray Players. None of them have exclusive movies. You're confusing exclusive features, with exclusive content, which doesn't exist...
The DVD player industry doesn't.
The radio industry doesn't.
The computer industry doesn't.
The tablet industry doesn't.
The supermarket industry doesn't.
You will continue to see fewer and fewer exclusives as you're pulled into the Games as the platform era. Funny watching the stragglers...
They don't own it anymore because the pressure to maintain exclusives has become too great for PlayStation.
Their grip is slipping. Has been for a long time.
