First of all, do you know what their sales targets even are?
Are we talking hardware, or targets for individual first party games?
it's 60 FPS, it looks good in motion and the animation of everything looks good. It doesn't display the jank we see in far too many "AAA" games.
Meanwhile the Silent Hill 2 remake and MGS Delta look godawful running on Unreal Engine 5. Janky as all hell.
I feel like it was a combo between the Jim Ryan Regime's GaaS push which seems to be turning out as terribly as everyone predicted and their desire to shift focus exclusively to "blockbuster" games.

it's not like SE is going to turn around and greenlight Final Fantasy 17 with Gooch at the helm now or anything, but I suppose it's nice to see SE at least working with him in some capacity, even if it is to publish a new version of one of his games Apple originally bankrolled.
I really hate that Nintendo is continuing to use Unreal Engine for first party titles when games run way worse while using it. The Mario Party game shown off in the Direct, for instance.. Far more going on visually in that game and it can hold a solid 60 FPS. Link's Awakening and this game by...

sure... minus the shallow gameplay mechanics that incentivize in-app-purchases and uninspired art direction... and Metroid Prime 4 looks great for a Switch game. At least it looks to be running at a constant 60 FPS which is more important to me than bells and whistles.
