What was the budget for this game? They must have went way over budget on development, which is probably one of the reasons Xbox didn't want to spend anymore on marketing.
I definitely see a GTA6 PS5 bundle in the works. They're gonna need to milk every penny of revenue, especially with the PC/Steam release not coming for a long time.
I didn't like Starfield, but I can't deny that it sold pretty well (at least on PC) considering that it was on GamePass. I have a feeling Todd Howard probably somewhat resents XBox and Phil for artificially limiting Starfield's sales by not releasing it on PS5 on it's launch year. It severely...
The audio stuff was interesting and novel. Graphics were nice enough. Storytelling and premise was decent but not great. The combat was as sophisticated as Infinity Blade on iPhone 5. I'd say the metacritic scores for it were very generous.
Usually review embargos that end so late are often a sign that the publisher expects mediocre reviews, but I'm still holding on to my prediction for a "Save Ninja Theory" campaign via inflated review scores in addition to the usual 10/10s from all of the Xbox fan sites.
Yes, but there's levels to it now after they shuddered Tango. You're gonna see crazy some over the top and cringe inducing praise for HB2 regardless of how good it is. Reviewers and gamers think they'll be sending a message to Microsoft executives to keep Ninja Theory open.
Now that I think of...
The fact that they haven't officially partnered with From for Bloodborne 2 is a travesty. Fuck a remake of part 1 - give us the new installment that is exclusive. That needs to be at the top of the list for Hulst and Nishino.
I have a sneaky feeling that reviewers are gonna overcompensate and inflate their scores because they'll think they'll be helping Ninja Theory stay open. I'm betting this has a chance to sneak into the high 80s to low 90s and a few loud Xbox morons will champion for it to be GOTY.
We all know Phil is the architect of this mess, but Satya is also such a dumbass - how has he not forced Phil to scrap Day 1 Game Pass at this point? He's been CEO for 4 years. This is no longer a small sample size situation. The experiment as been run and there's almost a decade of data at this...
Every time I start a new $1 trial on Gamepass to play a day 1 first party game, I look through the catalog and I'm always amazed at how at least 95% of it is shovelware and discount bin crap that I would never play unless I had a gun to my head. The fact that some people stay subscribed to this...
This guy is one of the weirder xbots out there. His posts all sound AI generated because they all follow the same script: "Xbox execs are smarter than you. They know what they're savvy business geniuses and you're all dumbasses."
Anyone who has played the first game knows that it's very bare bones gameplay wise and It's a heavily narrative driven game. This suggests to me that they didn't really innovate the gameplay or story compared to pt. 1. It's a shame that they decided to spend most of the 7+ year development time...
