In saying that, the crown jewel of the pro that is pssr seems to be a massive launch flop. No need to wonder why Horizon Forbidden west isn’t using it. Every game thus far that uses it suffers in iq.

Don't care about this game, But the fact it doesn't have the pro patch post October is troubling the precedent for 3rd parties if Sony themselves aren't supporting their system.

There seems to be a troubling trend with the pulsing in a number of games now.

Bingo. Existing ps5 modes with fssr boosted by pro would yeild a better iq. The downgrade is real.

The shimmer or pulse has become more and more pronounced in the more organic environments. It’s a real pisser.
Just saw DF plonk their analysis, yet to watch - if they ignore this massive downgrade, eyebrows raised….
My transition will occur when discs are no longer an option on console. Being beholden to a single store with no competition is not something I can abide by.
So getting deeper into Jedi Survivor. Sublime performance, locked 60, not sure how much is pro vs patches. But I stayed away, shelving it on launch due to performance.
Visuals are great, plays wonderful, exploration rewarding.
