Xbox S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl | Review Thread

Dark side of gaming PC performance review with the day one patch seems to be positive overall but yeah it's a demanding game. Alan wake 2 level.

Rumor Sony's PS6 will use AMD's UDNA GPU architecture and ZEN5 or ZEN6 for CPU. Sony's upcoming handheld will also use AMD hardware.

I don't see the ps or xbox handheld being a massive success. The console user wants to play on big TVs with decent IQ. I don't see a game pile ratchet and clank rift apart being worth it on advice like the switch lite.

Xbox S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl | Review Thread

Love how they lower grades for performance issues but when it happens to from software, Nintendo, rockstar or any other darling it's a feature.

PC Flight Simulator 2024 is now the lowest-rated AAA game in Steam history

I never understood why FS2020 needed a "sequel" that game is still among the most advanced.

Rumor Sony's PS6 will use AMD's UDNA GPU architecture and ZEN5 or ZEN6 for CPU. Sony's upcoming handheld will also use AMD hardware.

I can't see a day where PS5 level hardware will be considered obsolete for gaming. Cross generation should go until 2035 thanks to diminishing returns in HW. Talk of a ps6 feels rushed in 2024. Even if we are officially halfway through the generation it feels it just barely started

Discussion Sony Downplays the Risk of PlayStation Users Switching to PCs in a Recent Q&A.

They knew this since 2020 when kickstarted the PC port initiative. Folks that use PS as a secondary platform would migrate to PC, which means not much value was lost. A minority of warriors would cry online and the silent majority of PS customers would keep playing on PS buying FUT cards and...

Discussion When did you start playing on PlayStation?

I would say a mix between college, work and varying interests/hobbies back then. I got more into music/concerts/record collecting and stopped gaming most of the time. I had a family PC that was pretty well spec for its time, between a PS2 and a PS3. Played a few games on it (GTA SA, NFSU 2...

Discussion When did you start playing on PlayStation?

March 1999 I got the PS1 for my birthday, but technically in 1998 because I rented it for a couple of weekends to try it.. Played it a lot until 2004 then I stopped once I got to college.

PC Final Fantasy XVI flopped extraordinary on PC. It sold since launch only 280k copies on PC

Mindset is different for PC gamers, most would answer that as long as it does not impact the PC version, why not?? You can play civilization and x com on consoles these days.

PC Final Fantasy XVI flopped extraordinary on PC. It sold since launch only 280k copies on PC

These warriors are DSM V material. Judging by how square stocks plummeted they need all the money they can get. As any sane third party would.

Discussion Is there a reason Sony/PlayStation is so lenient with people pirating there games through emulators on PC?

It's not switch emulation what bothers Nintendo. It's switch 2. They are trying to strong arm emulator developers because they know switch 2 emulation must be simple AF.

News Square Enix Takes a $350 Million Hit in Value as Stock Plummets

Square should release quality games on a consistent basis. Has nothing to do with PS, Xbox or PC. They peaked in the SNES and PS1 generation and then decayed slowly. Final fantasy games have been embarrassing past the PS1 era. Even FFVII remake has lots of questionable decisions.

Discussion Is there a reason Sony/PlayStation is so lenient with people pirating there games through emulators on PC?

Extremely niche scene. PS3 emulation requires a monster PC to run software that is not even on its 1.0 version. I doubt the new top end AMD CPU can hold solid 60 fps in god of war 3 or GT6. Mainly due to software. PS4 emulation just started, and if Sony ports the big games remaining there's no...
