Discussion PC games published by PlayStation should also require PSPlus to play online.

That 2023 game selection kinda mid tbh. Quite a few of those games were given away on PC on EGS (permanent, not subscription based) PS Plus game selection was better on the PS3 days. No instant game collection anymore? That had good games for a newcomer to PS.

Discussion PC games published by PlayStation should also require PSPlus to play online.

But it wouldn't be fair. PS players pay to access all non F2P games online. Not just Sony ones. And also have other perks like cloud saves (can't believe there is a paywall for that ffs) some free games per month and an instant game collection if I am not mistaken. Those extra perks sweeten the...

Discussion PC games published by PlayStation should also require PSPlus to play online.

I never had an Xbox. Online was always free on PC with the exception of some subscription based games. And that's the problem. Accepting. Console gamers accepted and normalized several terrible practices in gaming over the last decades. Sony gamers should have jumped ship to PC when paid...

Discussion PC games published by PlayStation should also require PSPlus to play online.

Not sure about that. PS players could have done something around 2014 when paid online launched. Online was free on the PS3. But they kept buying PS so Sony got away with it. Nothing to do with MS. PS players experienced free online for a whole generation and still decided to pay.

Google games for windows live. See how that worked in an era where F2P games didn't dominate yet.

Discussion Steam seems to be refunding people with over 100 hours played of Helldivers 2

Many folks don't have a clue. MICROSOFT of all companies with their infinite pockets tried to push their own store on THEIR OS and it bombed in a spectacular fashion. It's even less popular than EGS!! Valve spent 2 decades refining their store and became the benchmark of what a gaming...

Discussion Steam seems to be refunding people with over 100 hours played of Helldivers 2

By learn I mean not releasing broken software at launch like HZD or last of us. And to avoid misunderstandings like this one. That's bad PR on a game that has been a home run for them.

Discussion Steam seems to be refunding people with over 100 hours played of Helldivers 2

Clearly is an exception, when I tried to refund HZD on launch day just with 2.5 hs, I was denied. And a lot of that time was spent building shaders... Was able to properly play the game 6 months later. Clearly Sony has a lot to learn. Growing pains for their first big online game outside of the...

Discussion Helldivers 2 will soon require Steam players to sign in with PSN account, has led to review bombing. Does an issue exist or is it a non issue?

It's a minor inconvenience. But Sony communicated poorly and also they should have PSN in way more countries to avoid users jumping through hoops. Specially those new to the platform. Wouldn't surprise me if some players believe that creating an account isn't free. Their cloud service was...

Discussion What upcoming games do you think will rise above expectations and surprise us?

Not much hype TBH lets see what we get from the next round of shows between may and june (former E3) I am interested in Judas and that Bioshock Infinite like game that was shown in MS presentation last year. I am more hyped by total conversions, mods and doom wads than big AAA games these days...

Nintendo Nintendo Reportedly Added Support For VRR & Up To 240 FPS To Its Internal Game Engine

Its like the laws of physics, electricity and silicon do not apply on console land. Its all about Pixie dust based optimization, feelings and fairy tales. Besides, I could somehow believe it if it was something from Sony or MS, since they have decent tech but NINTENDO??????? Be happy if you can...

Nintendo Nintendo Reportedly Added Support For VRR & Up To 240 FPS To Its Internal Game Engine

The usual console pre launch hype cycle. "It will control missiles" "Toy story graphics" "1080P 60 FPS" "4K" "8K" Next pokemon game will at most run at dynamic 1080p 30 and look like something from the PS Vita.

Sony learning step by step the in and outs of online gaming. Life is tough outside of the walled garden. They should have thought about this before releasing. Even if it's a minor issue it's a PR mess, specially since the game is so popular. Why is PS in so few countries vs steam though?

Discussion I want Sony to release a launcher on PC |UP| Sony should buy Valve and turn Steam into PS PC Launcher.

VR is on its infancy. Not the time for official stuff and walled gardens. Better to grow the media as a whole and then corporations can fight for a slice of the pie.
