Hopefully, we will see a brand new Ace Attorney game released in the near future. The last launch, not counting remasters, was Spirit of Justice in 2016.4Gamer: What I am interested in is the future of the Ace Attorney series. Since you are building up the know-how of RE ENGINE for adventure games, does this mean that we can expect more developments in the future?
Hashimoto: I cannot tell you anything at this point in time. However, it is true that we have gained knowledge in creating adventure games with RE ENGINE. Ace Attorney will not be stopping as a series, so I hope you will look forward to hearing more about it.
Thanks to Nintendo Everything for spotting this news.
One interview had Hashimoto state his desire to see Apollo flourish in the series’ future, while another featured Hashimoto acknowledging the fan desire for an HD remaster collection of the Miles Edgeworth Investigations duology.
Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy features the fourth, fifth, and sixth mainline entries of the Ace Attorney franchise: Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Dual Destinies, and Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Spirit of Justice, respectively.
Taking place seven years after Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Trials and Tribulations, Apollo Justice joins the fray as a new defense attorney who finds himself grappling with the Dark Age of the Law, causing seemingly irreparable corruption across court proceedings and verdicts. Alongside the ever-familiar Phoenix Wright and new allies, the cast tries to bring stability to their clients’ lives in the wake of this chaos, even if Apollo battles multiple demons of his past in the process.
The collection will include text and voice lines in Japanese, English, French, German, Korean, and Traditional and Simplified Chinese.
Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy will launch for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Windows and Steam on January 25, 2024.
