Yes, of course they are. Maybe they should have just stuck with the unannounced project they had going on at Sledgehammer Melbourne instead. Or Odyssey. Ridiculous.

They started working on this 2 years ago, before the Activision deal was closed so MS gets no credit at all for the creation of this studio.

We'll see them in 8 years if everything works out, publishing their games on the Switch 3, Steam, maybe even PS6 if Sony is still around.

The studio is set in Poland, smart idea.

It's something I think Sony should do too: to open a studio in Poland with ex-CD Projekt Red, People Can Fly, Techland, Bloober Team and CI Games staff, plus poaching some of the best talent they may still have in these studios, and also bring back to Poland to work there top Polish talent that may be working in top AAA studios around the world.

And then to put them under good management from PS Studios and good working conditions, Sony style.

USA represents a minority of the worldwide game development, even if USA+Canada have the majority of the AAA studios.

Regarding Rockstar, these are their studios:

The main and original one, Rockstar North (formerly known as DMA Design, they made Lemmings or Blood Money back in the Commodore Amiga times), is from Scotland.

Rockstar San Diego (formerly known as Angel Studios), even if an older studio they were acquired by Rockstar/Take 2 in 2002.
