I hope this is true, at work I've been slacking and playing Baldur's Gate 3 on my M1 Macbook Air and it runs surprisingly well. Proper Mac gaming would be a dream come true! It's 100000x better than Windows and less cumbersome than Linux.

I’d be happy as hell for Sony to drop Windows ports and go MacOS instead, the experience is so much better without the driver issues and other Windows bullshit, and the M chips are monsters performance-wise.

A strategic partnership including PS ports to MacOS would be a good move for both.

Up and down the entire lineup of their devices, they have their own amazing silicon, all of it in the same development environment, and clearly they have the intention of just bombarding as many devices as possible with the games they can handle.

It’s definitely something to keep an eye on. We’ve seen this gaming push a laughable amount of times from them, but never with this kind of advantageous hardware environment.

The experience of gaming on a Mac with a DualSense is as close to console as you can get on a general-purpose computer, and some of the games for MacOS that run at full Retina resolution (4k and 5 k) can be incredibly stunning.

Just keep to a year delay on ports and promote it well, and they’d have something big.

The Clien posted said that there has been a leak from Taiwan, which revealed that Apple is already considering the thought of creating its own gaming device.


Apple is also rumored to have already conducted feasibility studies for this project.

On top of that, the user that claims to be close to the matter said that "we are discussing various methods" to transform the current Apple TV device, which sports a similar look to the Mac Mini and the all-new Mac Studio, into a gaming console.

What's more, the leaker also claimed that the iPhone maker has already reached out to giant gaming firms like Ubisoft and Capcom.

This was a year and a half ago, before we knew about Capcom and Ubisoft games coming to the platform(s).

I think Apple is finally actually trying to take gaming more seriously.

I mean if you want to pay £1000+ for your gaming console & have all the cables & accessories sold separately , be forced into a subscription service with plenty of ads , get firmware updates that slows down your console to encourage you to upgrade then yay I guess

I laugh when ppl say "having Microsoft as competition is good" ideally competition is good but this isnt competition as Microsoft is getting slaughtered and because of that are making moves of desperation and just because they are a trillion dollar Corp tht wants to brute force their way into owning the industry.
