It's a staggered release on PS5. I wouldn't call that much of a win but sure if the eternal enemy is solely the prism of PS vs. Xbox.

PC Windows Gaming is solidifying itself as a competing platform in mindshare terms and certain consumption patterns every single day that passes even more, specially among the console commentariat. Dispatch the old guy, welcome the new guy.

Is it acceptable to lose to PC will be a question many PS fanboys will sooner or later have to deal with seriously. As long as the Xbox trojan horse is around of course, that will draw your attention and focus. Makes for an easier punching bag.

the console and PC market are different enough, they have their own idiosyncrasies.

what is clear is that with a strong PC market xbox hardware comes across as irrelevant in this industry.

but it will help Baldur's Gate 3 on PS5. And if for some reason this game is higher in the NPDs chart. (which i dont think so) but still is a chance for several factors like Xbox's 'supply constraints' and Game Pass; it would be such a bad look for Xbox and Starfield.

Series S and gamepass killing third party software sales is the wombo combo that has doomed Xbox for the entire generation.

Third parties determine the console wars and they always have. The only platform that can actually sell games is ps5.

This is just the beginning. It’ll be late third party ports for Xbox… and they’re going to need a gamepass handout to happen to begin with.
