*Unit sales including Monster Hunter World: Iceborne Master Edition: 25.30 million units

That's 25.3M sales of the base game when including the bundled expansion version.
Crazy stuff.

It's been wild seeing the bump in sales for Monster Hunter World from the December "Return to Monster Hunter" event.
Last two quarters have seen a lot of copies sold of the game even though it's been out for years.

Monster Hunter World did 5M in 3 days with the PS4 launch.
Monster Hunter Wilds with PC/Xbox/PS5 and franchise growth is probably looking at something like 10M in 3 days.

okami 2 when

Okami was Clover Studio, these guys have been gone for a long time.
It would need some high up producer at Capcom that would want to do something with it, might be a tough ask.

Man Resident Evil 6 being the first Resident Evil to pass a million on switch is pretty impressive tbh.
I would of thought it would of been RE4 for sure but I guess the Switch port not having gyro aim really hurt the initial sales of it.
Also maybe the fact the switch version of RE6 has the exclusive feature of wearing mercenaries extra costumers in the main campaign also helps

looking at the top 6 Resident Evils as of March 31st, 2024 it goes as:
1. RE5 14.6 Milliion
2. RE2 Remake 13.9 Million
3. RE7 13.3 Million
4. RE4 OG 13.2 Million
5. RE6 13.1 Million
6. RE8 Village 9.8 Million

Resident Evil 6 also nearly knocked RE4 OG down a notch however once the Switch Version of RE4 eventually breaks a million it shouldn't worry about been overtaken for atleast the next decade.
It will also retake the 3rd spot from RE7 when the switch version hits 1 million but RE7 will most likely retake it again eventually down the line.
I wonder if RE4 Oculus Quest 2 will cross a million anytime soon as well?

Ugh, RE5 still being number 1 is lame. After RE4 being so absolutely amazing… RE5 was forgettable in every way aside from the boulder punch. Fuck that game. Nearly ruined my love and adoration for the series … that is until RE7 knocked it out of the park.

I originally liked RE5 but found it a disappointing follow up to RE4.
Then I got RE6 at a GameStop midnight launch and found it really bad (It was my first GameStop Midnight launch too!)

Then I replayed RE5 and it's multiplayer DLC in 2015 and found it pretty bad
while over time I think I like RE6 slightly more but good lord is the general gameplay in RE6 just an absolute headache

I hope RE4 2005 can get some ground with the Oculus Quest 2 version breaking a million and the Switch Version breaking a million before RE5's switch version gets to a million and there might be a small window of time the OG RE4 passes RE5 only to be retaken very shortly afterwards

Capcom is the last saving grace of this industry alongside KJP.
I'm not too much of a fan of the way they did Microtransactions in RE4 remake and personally found RE4 Remake a bit less appealing than the original.
I also remember not liking how Skywards Sword HD in 2021 locked some fast travel behind an amiibo and I keep that same energy with what Dragons Dogma 2 is trying with it's fast travel DLC which I know isn't necessary but just gives me icky vibes

Yep, they tried with that spinoff/sequel and didn't even sell a million copies.

Maybe the net Okami spin off should star some Leon S Kennedy! that would easily break a million
