Q: How do you plan to achieve the sales goal for new titles for this financial year?

A: In the second half of this FY, we plan to release Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy in January in addition to a currently unannounced major title. Moreover, we plan to boost the sales figures of new titles of the first half of this FY to achieve the target.

Q: How do you think of the sales goal of 45 million copies of console titles? Taking into account the first half of this FY, wouldn't it be difficult to achieve it?

A: We are planning a major title in the second half of this FY. Additionally, we originally planned to achieve the goal mainly by focusing on sale events in the second half of this FY to boost the sales figures of our catalogue titles.

Don’t think it’s Monster Hunter… because that would be 10s of millions.

MHW2 will be the biggest success in Capcom history.

Can’t wait.

Has to be. I really hope it's a World game though... not another Rise style one.

Also hope it's truly "next gen".
Has to be that. Monster Hunter World and Rise have both sold over 10 million. I dont think its Re9 or Re5 remake seeing as they just released Re4 remake this year. I think its a new Monster Hunter game that will be current gen only .

It's likely Resident Evil 9
RE9 didn't appear in their (old, not updated with covid delays becauses was from early 2020) leaked roadmap that covered until 2025 or so.

It had a codenamed "Monster Hunter 6" (so let's say World 2) for 2024, which is the Monster Hunter 20th anniversary.

Don’t think it’s Monster Hunter… because that would be 10s of millions.
The top 2 best selling Capcom games ever are MH World (19M) and MH Rise (13.2M) as of June 30.

They sold that in 5 years and a half (MHW, 3 platforms) and 2 years and 3 months (MHR, 6 platforms). Not in less than a quarter.

So Monster Hunter 6 / World 2 may end selling over 20M copies, but after all its lifetime after many years. Not in a couple months.

Also hope it's truly "next gen".
I assume Capcom will want to make it scalable enough to run it on Switch 2 (+ mid/lowish end PCs, at least to play it decently on Steamdeck) too.

I assume they'll release first MH6/World 2 early 2024 for PS5+XB Series+PC, and then in November they'll release a downscaled port for Switch 2 as a launch game.

Not sure if at launch, but considering how big mobile gaming is worldwide and particularly in Japan I think they'll also release a high end Mac/iPhone/iPad port soonish, maybe months after porting it to Switch 2.

World did over 22 million in 5 years with only one expansion. It laid down the foundation for a bigger sequel that will no doubt have a better launch than world itself seeing how that was the series’ breakout game outside of Japan. A sequel can surpass 30 million. I expect it to.
