Massive numbers and they have a lot more to do.... a RE1 remake, another fresh entry and possibly a Code Veronica remake down the road.

They'll easily hit 200 million in a couple years IMO. Maybe 3...

RE1 doesn't need a remake IMHO. In fact I wish RE2 & 3 remakes had fixed camera mode options like RE1 Remake.

Code Veronica definitely could do for a remake, but also RE5. They need to give Sheva smarter A.I for solo play and maybe adjust some of the mission designs so that they're scarier.

I'm enjoying the remakes and VR implementations so I'm happy.

It took 27 years and around 30 games (including remakes and spinoffs) to reach 146M.

Make sure they'll take way more time to reach 200M, consider their 5-6 best selling RE games ever sold around 7-12M units in all their lifetime, not only in the first year.

As a reference FF (not sure, but I'd bet it's the best selling Japanese 3rd party game series) is at 180M+ units.

RE1 just got a Seamless HD Remake patch. The websites not updated, but videos have gone up on youtube recently.

Sales numbers over time is am interesting point to raise. I found another video I'd like to raise you all:
