Counterstrike is crazy always in the top for years!
Haven't played in ages, the whole thing about item drops put me off completely of this type of games.

I liked the good old days where you just played for the sake of it, no ranks beside server specific ones.

Same with Dota2, they turned it into a dedicated job to simply follow the changes and ever increasing complexity.

Thts why I stopped playing Warzone thy started over complicating things like inventory and adding so much bs. Sometimes to much is a negative.

What put me off of CoD (and BF) was the fact that it had unlocks. The idea that people competing on the same match had access to different equipment just put me off completely. If you have been playing for longer why would you need different weapons? Aren't you just more skilled than someone who is starting or plays more casually?

The whole concept of FOMO design put's me off of these games, good for me. Imagine playing chess and the other guy has different pieces he is bringing from a previous match.

At most I'll play multiplayer games casually when there is something innovative (early PUBG, Helldivers 2, etc), but I don't keep up and have no intention of dedicating much time to them.

Multiplayer to me in the past were similar to playing as a kid, you don't need to track anything or win anything, you play for the joy of playing and playing becomes it's own reward. Whenever games move away from that they lose me.

Crazy, Warmind stated that Destiny 2 had most players on PSN during June (Final Shape launch period) and yet it's so much higher on PC

EDIT: This is US only, forgot about that

Sports games don't perform as well on PC, neither do fighting games. There are a multitude of PC games that aren't on Steam or aren't primarily on Steam.

Another thing for doomers to keep in mind as to why there isn't going to be this mass migration to PC.

This is wrong when it comes to fighting games on PC. For example, SF6 has done fantastic on Steam.

I like how I say fighting games, a genre, don't perform as well on PC and your rebuke to tell me that I'm wrong is one specific game, that still performed better on console while ignoring all other fighting games... good show.

There's really no point in comparing PC to consoles. So many of the top multiplayers aren't even on steam and then Madden and NBA which would never do well on PC as well.

They're kind stuck playing the same games all the time, occasionally a fad of the moment games pops up on PC and then disappears after 2 months.

Also XDefiant flopping and I am happy to see it. What a shitty game it is.

It's actually quite good, it's brought a lot of my friends together. Will always appreciate a game that accomplishes that.

Eh it didn't click with me or maybe because I played solo. But I hate online games with abysmal TTK. Why are so many pubs so stingy with health in online games

Mostly GaaS -many of them F2P- as usual. Seems XDefiant is performing very well, being in the top 10 of most played games in both consoles (its PC version isn't on Steam, it's only on Ubi's platform).

Seems that Destiny 2 The Final Shape is also killing it in all platforms.

Destiny 2 is solid so I'm glad it is.
