You mean the same agency that literally bent over backwards in court, on the last day of MS's deadline, to get the deal through and not cost MS an addition extension fee? Based on a deal they didn't even present in court? That agency?

Britain’s top competition regulator has hit out at Rishi Sunak following reports that the Prime Minister wants to water down the agency’s powers.

Sarah Cardell, chief executive of the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA), said there is “no reason” to dilute planned new powers to regulate Big Tech companies.
Probably threatened to water them down unless the CMA backed down, yet Rishi probably is following through anyway.

Maybe my interpretation of British governance is different from reality but Rishi's reforms will probably take years to push through, and thus be abandoned by this time next years after Labour takes charge.
