Today, Remedy Entertainment Plc (“Remedy”) and 505 Games S.p.A. (“505 Games”) announce a transaction upon which all publishing, distribution, marketing and other rights to Control, codename Condor, Control 2, and all future Control products will revert to Remedy.
The Control franchise is in the core of Remedy. Having acquired the full rights to Control, Condor and Control 2, Remedy is now in a position to make the right product and business decisions focusing on long-term franchise growth.
Update 3/4/24
Developer Remedy Entertainment released the sequel to Alan Wake in October 2023 and at the same time, the studio is working on other projects, one of which is a Control spin-off.
Details about this Control spin-off are unknown, only that the game is known as "Project Condor", which will be a cooperative service game (GaaS). Womeveri t seems that we have the first discovery about this project, as a search for job vacancies, being for senior gameplay animator, suggests that the game will focus on the first person perspective:
The joblisting is focused on first-person animations and makes no mention of third-person gameplay. With this information, we can assume that the game will only be first-person and will not have a third-person option.
