The loading bars I usually create are based in steps of the code… while it is not exactly accurate (like based in time) it still feels somehow good… for example if my code has let’s say 20 steps then it will fill 5% of the bar per step but how much time a step takes in your system is impossible to predict so some step will go slower and others faster depending of your system.

These steps are really dependent of the system like for example an IO step will take way more time in a HDD than SSD.
