im hoping too! it seems this animation will be more of an original timeline instead of just being a 1:1 with the games. You can notice some bosses from the 3rd and 4th game in the trailer, while the story itself seems to be even early than the 3rd game, with Lady being a cop and the Bunny character at the end being on a manga comic from dmc3 from years ago

Hopefully this pushes Capcom to announce a new DMC. It's about damn time. 5 years already. Almost the same timeframe between DMC and DMC V...
