Enjoy.
- PS5 falls behind both IQ and performance compared to same settings using DLSS.
- DLSS has more temporal stable image and better sub pixels.
- PS5’s GPU is around RTX 4070 level but when using PSSR it runs 45% below it.
- Using the same comparison RTX 3070 runs 10% better.
My note here… the performance comparison is expected because DLSS only exists in RTX cards so it is fair to compare using nVidia GPUs but I think his conclusion is wrong because what dropped the performance on PS5 Pro is the AMD GPU that can’t handle RT like RTX cards.
Sadly there is no way to compare it with similar RDNA card on PC because the AMD FSR is so behind PSSR and DLSS that making a comparison using it is dumb.
Alan Wake 2: how does PS5 Pro handle one of the best-looking games of this generation?
Alan Wake 2 is most of the most technologically impressive video games, so the PS5 Pro version should impress, right? Alex + Oliver discuss PS5 Pro vs PS5.
