Beyond image quality differences, however, the three modes are all roughly the same. Personally, the image quality in performance mode is strong enough that I recommend this mode over the others. Nixxes also confirmed to us that Horizon Remastered already includes PS5 Pro support which will automatically activate when played on the new console. It's also worth mentioning that performance is, by and large, perfect. Each mode delivers on their performance targets, along with an unlocked frame-rate mode for VRR displays. This doesn't deliver frame-rates that much higher than 60fps, but it's nice that it's there and of course, there are potential benefits via playback on future PlayStation hardware.
IMO DRS is what I don’t like in the modern way to develop games…This game is going to SING on PS6...
All console games should have DRS and unlocked modes available moving forward. Should be an absolute standard.

Decelopers should optimize their games to never drop below the frame rate target.
And not add DSR to when the game lacks optimization it drops resolution to maintain the frame rate target
DRS, VRR, etc should be things not needed if a game is running all the time at the designed target.
These tools lead developers to become worst.
Helps developers not optimize games to reach the target… yeap. And that is a loss of skill experience in developing games imo.Extremely backwards type of thinking.
DRS helps maintain framerate and in most games you can't even tell when there is a gradual reduction in resolution, it also future proofs games.
Your takes have always been bad, but this is maybe the worst one you've put forward.
They aren't banking on selling many at $50, this wasn't an expensive project. They are banking on people upgrading because well it's $10As a 10$ upgrade is worth it but I doubt they will sell many new copies at 50$
Oh, that TV project is never happeningWhy not keep this remaster ready for when the TV project launches? Like TLOU1 Remake
Its not like anyone is desperate to play this. Then you would have new fans aswell as $10 upgrade fans

I think it was cancelled. I knew it was never gonna work and I actually think a live action show would have been a perfect match for it, similar to how the Jurassic Park stuff works. People love seeing realistic monsters on screen.Did it get cancelled? Or just limbo lol
Again like GOW, I think its a title that would be better off as an animated/Pixar or anime movie or series. A life action would be hard to get right and not feel cheese like.
I never watched Twisted metal, heard it was decent. But what a waste if there was no game with it

God of War should definitely be animated though. And Twisted Metal was a good watch. I was pleasantly surprised by it honestly.

DRS should not be bad if the developer first focused that the whole game run at higher frame rate than the target never dropping below it at fixed resoltuion.
After that could implant DRS for future proof.
But that is not how they use it.
They create a mess of code that run with fluctuations all time and to “save” the day they put DRS to drop resolution.
It is a cheap, easy and non-quality way to do things.
