We've got issues with this one. While Star Wars Jedi Survivor serves up some upgrades over the standard PS5 - like the return of RT reflections to the performance mode - there are severe image quality concerns when elements like foliage interact with ray tracing. The end result is a strobing image quality downgrade that makes this Pro patch difficult to recommend.

Can Sony fix this system wide, can it be fixed, do devs need to release another patch or pssr upgrades happen at system level?

If a system level fix is not possible and devs need to patch - ooooffff

I’m sure there is no system PSSR.
Deva needs to implement it into the game to work (aka patch the game).

If the results are not good maybe the dev didn’t implement PSSR correctly?

There seems to be a troubling trend with the pulsing in a number of games now.

This should be bulletproof and not for devs to spin on their heads while rubbing their tummies over it.

Unexpected results, Definitely was not on my bingo card for base PS5 to have better IQ in a number of examples now.

If I recall correctly, this game's FSR implementation was bad because the devs never implemented motion vectors correctly for it (though they did so for DLSS2 on the PC, go figure).

Sounds like they still didn't implement it correctly for the Pro patch, which is a shame.


Here's hoping Respawn gets their act together for the final game in the trilogy, and adopt a later version of UE5 with performance-focused bells and whistles.

They will probably add a Boost mode like the PS4 Pro. Turn it off if the games are causing issues on the Pro
