Nintendo has announced that the recently announced Donkey Kong Country Returns HD, an enhanced re-release of the original Wii game with the 3DS content intact, will cost $59.99. Prospective players can pre-order the title on the Switch eShop.


This decision does seem strange since Metroid Prime Remastered is priced at $39.99. Fans have expressed mild disappointment about Donkey Kong Country Returns HD not being a substantial enough visual overhaul, with some even saying that it looks worse in several regards when analyzing the reveal trailer.

Metroid Prime turned 20 on November 17th, 2002 and the Remaster on Switch came out on February 8th, 2023!
Donkey Kong Country turns 30 this November and the remaster of DKC returns is coming January of next year?
Let me guess Metroid prime 2 Echoes HD is 2025 as well just missing the 20thAnniversary this November as well?
and Metroid Prime 3 Corruption is 2028 just missing the 20th Anniversary as well!
