Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero Reportedly Won't Include A Split-Screen Mode

One of the staples of the Budokai Tenkaichi series seemingly won't be returning in Sparking Zero.

Dragon Ball Sparking: Zero's producer, Jun Furutani, has reportedly revealed that it won't include a split-screen mode like older Budokai Tenkaichi games, leaving it up to online play for friends to fight one another.

We're multiple generations passed the point of split screen being common. It sucks for someone like me who has a son, and I really want to play coop games with him when he's of age. I'll either end up buying multiple PlayStations and multiple PC handhelds to do so if I'm still gaming by then.

These are the moments when I hope someone at PlayStation realizes that the PlayStation Portal could fill in the gap that leaving out split screen creates.
