Should I watch dragon ball GT or go straight to the next one I love Goku as a kid but so far it's shit

If you love dragon ball Z you will love Dragon Ball, Reminds me that I need to finish it off.
The beginning sucks, but I think after 24 episodes it got interesting again. It's been too long.
GT was great, Good times watching at 2 in the morning on Toonami.
Its not Dragonball Z but its still worth the watch, One thing I like about it Goku is not slightly retarded like he comes across in Super.
100% watch the movies, these are the ones i would recommend, Try and get the ones with all the audio so you can see which versions you like best.
