DUBAI LAUNCHES ‘LONG-TERM GAMING VISA’ TO ENTICE CONTENT CREATORS
It was recently announced that Dubai’s government is aiming to deepen its reach in the gaming industry, and to do so, it has launched the ‘Long-Term Dubai Gaming Visa’. This new initiative aims to entice industry workers – from developers to artists – to life in Dubai, with the city playing a key role in the region’s massive and ongoing investment in the gaming and esports industries.
It has been referenced that companies ‘specialising in digital content creation’ are being actively leant on to join this initiative.

For months, Saudi Arabia and the UAE have been pouring hundreds of millions of dollars into the esports and gaming industries. From tournaments and gaming events worth tens of millions to plans to create a thriving city focused entirely on video games and entertainment, the region is trying to establish itself as a figurehead of this lucrative, ever-growing market.Recently, Dubai’s Crown Prince Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum announced the new ‘Gaming Visa’ that’s designed to help attract 30,000 industry workers by 2033. It’ll be available for developers, programmers, engineers, and other industry workers and professionals who are aged at least 25 years old at the time of application.
It was highlighted that there isn’t a fixed tenure for the Dubai Gaming Visa, and it’ll vary depending on the individual applying.
