Resident Evil Zero and Code Veronica Remakes Reportedly in the Works at Capcom - IGN

Following the enormous success of the Resident Evil 2, 3, and 4 remakes, Capcom has turned its attention to remakes of Resident Evil Zero and Code Veronica.

States that RE5 and RE1 remake rumours are false and that neither are currently in development
4/4) a remake of Resident Evil Zero & Code Veronica in development right now. I've talked to many others behind the scenes about this at this point, it's something I heard over a year ago, think it was going to get out whether I was the one to say it or not, & that's about it.

From what I've heard, Zero is primarily being lead by K2 & M-Two (who most recently did Separate Ways DLC for RE:4 & were a support studio on RE:4), Code Veronica is Capcom Dev 1 with a lot of the same people who worked on RE:2 & RE:4 though.

Capcom doing the right thing? Must be false. Please don't be a short ass remake with cut content and a tackled in multiplayer game no one wants.

This folk can't stop mading up stuff. I don't get why isn't banned as source and I don't understand why you keep giving him attention.

How Capcom supposed to be working on RE9 and at the same time remakes of Outbreak, RECV, RE5 and RE1? What is he going to say next, that Capcom is working on a RE Dead Aim remake?

We know that Capcom is working on a ton of other games, some already released and receiving post launch updates, other ones officially announced and other ones leaked in Capcom's old roadmap.

In that roadmap we saw they don't plan to release any RE soon because are busy with many other releases. For sure, being one of their more successful IPs they must be working in the next numbered RE and in the next remake. But one remake at a time, not half a dozen of them.

And none of these upcoming RE games was ever planned to be shown soon because Capcom has many other games to market instead because they release before. As an example, Pragmata and MH Wilds.

Hoping this is true!!! As someone who likes Dusk Golem and who's been pretty much near perfect when it comes to survival horror games, I would say that there's an excellent chance of this happening. Let's go baby!! 😂

lets revisit this comments again if it turns out code veronica is the next remake

I'm someone who proved him wrong several of his lies just using factual data.

Like with everything he said related to Street Fighter V, Street Fighter 6 and Yoshinori Ono (and his role at Capcom, why he left and who replaced him), or with the RE in Venice artwork that according to him was a rejected concept art but I shown it was a fanart from a concept artist from Eastern Europe who never worked at Capcom or any related company.

Btw, why Code Veronica fist? He also said they were also remaking Outbreak, RE5, RE0 or RE1. And also RE Revelations 3. And I assume more because he said more things like that Capcom is working on 5 RE games.

He basically says they are doing remaking everything, so whatever is their next project (because since they sell very well they will continue remaking RE games) then he will claim to be right. And then once people see he was wrong in all the other stuff he mentioned but never happen then he'll claim "it has been delayed" or eventually cancelled.

He basically made ups stuff or makes guess with stuff he sees online. Some things stuff mentioned by Capcom he misunderstood or from random 4chan or Twitter "rumors". Example: when highlighting their main projects for the FY, Capcom named some of them and said they had another big release without mentioning its name for the late part of the FY (Jan-Mar 2024), so he went and made up this:

But Capcom was talking about Dragon's Dogma 2 release, which back then was announced, but at that point they still didn't have announced its release date. Obviously Capcom didn't announce any big game late 2023 or early 2024.

Becaue "it was delayed" according to him. As he is saying now about the RE9 announcement, which seen that his guess was wrong then he says "it has been delayed".

i dont know who you are but you asking duskgollem to be a banned source is reaching hard when the other website are keep using him

if we ban duskgollem here the website will lose tons of traffic as people will flock to other place who can reports on capcom news and leak

are you a mod here or something ? I dont think you have the authority to dictate what is allowed or not around here

Code Veronica is the only game I skipped back in the day. This could be my chance to finally give it a go.
