Recently, one budding aggregator in the Dying Light 2 community thought it’d be a beneficial use of their time to compile every ounce of cut content from the game into one gargantuan document. By the time they’d finished, the result sat in the form of a 231-page document covering everything from cut factions, quests, dialogue, regions, weapons, and everything else you could possibly think of.
It gets better, though – this document is masterfully created. I mean, it’s stylised, it features all manner of images, the fonts are on-point, and it’s well written. It was put together by a user named Sneed – who may not realise it, but this document is basically one of the best breakdowns of cut content that we’ve ever seen… Ever.
A Little Light Reading, Perhaps?
It’s time to settle down with your favourite snack, pop a choccy milk, and download ‘The Unofficial Dying Light 2 Cut Content Document‘ to your phone or trusty e-reader. It’s a monumental read that is as comprehensive a document as you could ever hope for, and it contains previously unseen information regarding almost every aspect of Dying Light 2, which was released in February 2022.As you trek through this document, you’ll learn that entire factions were stripped clean from Techland’s open-world zombie-slaying epic. There were whole questlines burned out of the final release, and complete regions just sliced from the bulk of what was ultimately released.
There are plenty of fans who were disappointed by Dying Light 2, as it felt like a step back from the first game that was released back in 2015. Personally, I didn’t have much of an issue with any of it, but it’s shocking to see just how much content was removed from the game.
