Embracer was about to embark on some sort of industry mega-deal to the tune of $2 billion. Then, late last night, it collapsed, which Embracer said was a shock to them, and the news sent their stock crashing a full 40%.

Is this Kotor and Sony related? I wonder what it could be. Maybe a major Game Pass deal that didn't work?
My money is on it being Game Pass related and if not Amazon related.
KOTOR wouldn't have been worth $2billion. This is something that probably involves the entirety of their lineup
Reading the title my first thought was "What will EmbracerInvest think" and, well, I guess I'm not alone.
edit: Reading his feed, they had their investor call today and also reported that only three of the last year's projects broke even (both also broke the magical 2.48 times their budget barrier that EI wants them to hit) while the other 14 haven't. That might also have something to do with their major stock fall.
edit 2: And they had some (very small) studio closures too.
