The only think they missed is that Gen Z cares more about Mobile Games than console or PC gaming.
Same with the Gen Alpha that videogame means Roblox.

BTW I won't take this research too serious because it conflict with others research about the same subject.... in some part they said GenZ / Alpha are playing more PC / Consoles than Mobile and that is not true at all.

Well Hollywood and tv/movie scene has completely gone to shit. Its a reason Anime has continue to grow so quick. People like myself got fed up with western shit, found anime and stayed there along with games. Its also why we have seen gaming industry get invaded by all these grifters pushing their narratives that destroyed movies and tv

What these salty posters continue to misunderstand around this Paramount situation is that the Paramount IP helps gaming too, but also that buying gaming studios has a lot of upfront difficulties.

You can buy a gaming company and not see any output from that company for 5-7 years, which means that getting a return of cash flow based on these deals could take 10-20 years in some cases...

Younger generations aren't as into movies and tv as older generations, but that doesn't mean future generations will follow the same trend.

You also have some level of diminished returns in gaming where you're actively competing against yourself, where it makes more sense to diversify your business portfolio.

Paramount will not be bought by Sony, bookmark this comment. There are only two who will be disappointed for Sony not ending up buying Paramount: Mibu and Yurinka. 😌

Hilarious, considering Sony doesn't have enough dev resources to work with the IP they already have. Just give it up

Look at Lego Horizon Adventures and Until Dawn. This is what you call growth. It doesn't have to be all internal. You work with partners and if those partnerships work out you look at potential acquisitions.

All the evidence is right in front of your face, but your agenda pushes you to not see it.

Sure, making $27B/year they are almost homeless. Maybe tomorrow Hermen will sleep under a brigde with some cardboard as bed

I don't care if they buy them or not.

No. They got a hit in cinema theaters during the lockdowns, but they recovered from it. Other than that, they continued growing after covid as they were doing before:

Gower estimated a global box office of $33.9B for 2023 this January:

Other than that, physical copies of movies are dying as they got replaced by digital and pay tv.

You would take 1st place in parolympics with these mental gymnastics.
