After revealing a few months ago the finalists for entry into the Gaming Hall of Fame, the American organization World Video Game has now announced the winning titles for this year's edition.
The organization revealed that among the 12 finalists, the titles Resident Evil, Asteroids, Myst, SimCity and Ultima were recognized for their importance and will soon earn a place in the museum.
For the decision, the judges decided that Resident Evil deserved it for popularizing the survival-horror genre; SimCity for its intuitive building design; Asteroids for a combination of challenging gameplay and great visual design; Myst for its use of new technologies at the time; and Ultima for its importance in the RPG genre.
