I personally don't understand the amusement people get from games not being very popular. It's a daily headline, and almost never speaks about the quality of the game.

Hell even outside of steam. Rebirth was a fantastic game that didn’t sell as well as its predecessor, so of course the 90% of the discourse is going to be about its sales, despite it being one of the best SE games of all time.
