I wonder if they will add an option to play the frozen wilds from scratch. Similar to how the Witcher 3 handled it: you could start play it with a build leveled to access the DLC.

This is a much bigger difference than i thought and for 10€ (if you own the PS4 version) it's a no brainer, even if the remake itself is unnecessary, imo.

The difference is much better than in Until Dawn "Unreal 5 Remake". It's definitely worth $10 upgrade.
