Emmanuel, aka Extream, has done a side-by-side analysis of the 2023 lineups for both PS+ and Gamepass. It's quite fascinating how lazy journalists are when proclaiming such things as "best deal in gaming" - when objectively the opposite is true.
In 2023:
-205 games were added to PS+, not counting PS3 games
-151 games were added to gamepass
-PS+ added 54 more games (+36%) than gamepass and includes games that you keep in your library forever
-Gamepass added 29 games day-and-date, vs 7 on PS+
-PS+ is cheaper
