Popular leaker “The Snitch” has teased yet another announcement that will be made in the near future. On Twitter, The Snitch posted an image of San Francisco, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles. The image is seemingly a nod to the Horizon Forbidden West Burning Shores DLC taking place in these locations. Personal guess is that it will be announced at The Game Awards this Thursday.
The Burning Shores is mentioned by name a couple of times throughout Horizon Forbidden West. It’s referred to in Gildun’s diary as being south of the Spinebreak and was referenced by Brin as being the “place of flames and brine”.

Players who attempt to explore further south are currently told to “Turn back” as it’s likely this is the new location for the DLC.

Some players have managed to get a closer look using their Sunwing, which looks like there’s a replica of the arched Memorial Bridge near Las Vegas, Nevada; as well as potentially the Hoover Dam.

Insider Gaming understands that the new Horizon Forbidden West DLC “Burning Shores” will release in April 2023.

Interesting, I thought they would follow Ghost of Tsushima in moving to a multiplayer expansion after the main game but more single player content is always welcome.

I hope they don't come up with some reason to take away your.... 'alternative mount', that would be such a typical gaming thing to do to players.

No surprise here considering that HZD had The Frozen Wilds expansion. This is why I purchased HFW digitally because I knew this was coming. Granted, a little later than I was expecting but still coming. Looking forward to this.

No reason to have a co-op/multi-player aspect in HFW when they're literally developing a game (or two) specifically for that audience.

After the State of Play this past September, this has been one of my predictions for The Game Awards. Others being Helldivers 2 finally getting revealed and I believe a teaser trailer for TLOU Factions which while Druckmann said they're not showing it until 2023, im sure they can put together a teaser trailer for TGA which always has a massive fucking audience.

Who knows, maybe this is a SP expansion like Frozen Wilds or GoT Ikki Island (which I think is more likely). Or maybe it's a GoT like MP expansion / game mode.

If Druckmann said they'll share more about TLOU Online next year I wouldn't expect to see it again this year. I think that at the Game Awards they'll show instead a Death Stranding 2 teaser and this Horizon DLC, which considering Frozen Wilds and the timing would make sense to announced it and at the Game Awards.

I think they'll also announce an Elden Ring DLC there, so I think Sony will also want to fight for the attention with other GOTY candidate DLC. Regarding Helldivers 2 or other Sony game announcements outside Death Stranding 2, I'm not sure. I think they may save them for later.

The Doritos Pope said this time will be shorter and with less big announcements, and there's going to be announcements from other publishers both big ones and also crappy ones like Asian mobile games or cringe white signalling 'we love diversity' PR ads from corporations like Facebook and so on. So I don't think Sony is going to make a lot of announcements. I think maximum a couple.

Also because in additon to all I mentioned, Sony traditionally prefers to keep most of their announcements to their own events. So I think they'll give DS2 to the Doritos Pope because Kojima wants so, and will give them a DLC announcement too, but I think they'll keep any other announcements for future Sony events.

I’m betting on a 100% Single-player expansion. They’re gonna try to get some mileage out of it.

40 - 50$

The multiplayer game is its own thing. No point.

My predictions -

- Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores expansion gameplay reveal and release date
- The Last Of Us Factions teaser trailer (I can see Sony wanting this at TGA because of the massive audience and the TV series starts in January so it makes sense but we'll see)
- Helldivers 2 gameplay reveal
- Death Stranding 2 reveal

Elden Ring had a free mode announced today that releases tomorrow so im not expecting any expansions or anything for Elden Ring to be announced at The Game Awards.

After they announced the free game mode earlier today, I don't see them announcing anything at TGA because if they had an expansion, they could have revealed it at TGA and then say, now available is this free game mode. But we'll see.

Where it’s at.
I got blocked on Reddit by Schreier back in 2012 for telling him that constantly whining every time someone said Kotaku was a shitty site wasn’t going to improve anyone’s opinion about Kotaku or him, and that if he put the same effort into his articles as he did whining about criticism, he might get criticized less.
