• Another Sonic is coming next year, along with Jet Set, Comix Zone and a new Guardian Heroes (not sure on the date for that one)
• Persona 6 is a bit further away than last time I updated. I don't think it's making 2024 (original plan was reveal last winter)
• Main theme of P6 is "black and white", some parts still look Green in the gills, I'm waiting on other leakers before the floodgates open
• There is another Persona game yet to be revealed, I'll finally say it's a party game
• Switch 2 devkits have been here a while, I can verify it is backwards compatible with a few games tested. New cartridge. New camera feature.

Square

• FF9 remake WAS summer 2024, not sure about that anymore, game needs some polishing, that's about it
• X remake/X3 has a skeleton crew, it is NOT making it's anniversary
• Square has new PS5 devkits, we're assuming these are the "Pro" but I could be wrong
• FF7R looks and runs like a PS5 game on Switch 2 devkit. Port took no time I'm told. Could be a launch game, not sure.

FWIW, Switch 2 will probably have some form of DLSS 2.0 or even 3.0. With that type of tech they could get a pretty good approximation of FF7R looking like how it does in BC on a PS5, more or less.

It would come with big caveats though, such as load times, some lower textures and maybe simpler character models here and there. Running it on a smaller portable screen would help hide a lot of the lower IQ in the Switch 2 version however.

Theoretically it could be true, I mean Square's Xbox-exclusion deal has proven not to extend to the Switch. If something can run on Switch, Square will put it on there.

All Switch 2 needs to be is a portable PS4 and it can pick up ports of FF7 Remake, Re4 Remake etc.

An Ideal Switch 2 year one would include:

FF15 Royal Edition
FF7 Remake
Street Fighter 6
Resident Evil 4 Remake
Persona 3 Reload
Metaphor: Refantazio

All of these are running on PS4 and shouldn't pose an issue. If they finally manage to restructure their online network, i also fully expect:

Genshin Impact (was already announced for Switch then went missing)
Honkai Star Rail
FF14

I hope all these Switch 2 rumors are true. Sony is about to be DECIMATED when the Switch 2 comes out I don't care for Nintendo as much but it's the only way Sony will learn that GAAS, subscription services, pc ports, cloud, and mobile, are NOT the answer. I hope the Switch 2 gets every single Square exclusive (and every other JP dev) going forward, this current Jim Ryan Sony doesn't deserve anything good. I'm a hardcore PS fan but thank god for Nintendo, the only console manufacturer that's keeping gaming honest.
