On Game Mess Mornings just now, Jeff Grubb and another host/guest had the following to say about Dragon Age & Mass Effect [transcript of relevant quotes] -

Grubb: "You want some original reporting? This game is just nowhere near coming out. This is not, this, I was told, like, so, when they announced, when they, like, revealed Dragon Age: Dreadwolf in 2018, this is similar in terms of timeline, where that was announced in 2018, and we're not getting that game til maybe next year. So now do the math for that, and we're talking 2029 for Mass Effect 5."

I'll reserve judgement until we see Dragon Age.
The leak alpha footage gave me little hope. That footage pretty much backed past reporting that EA fuck this game up by forcing Bioware to make a GAAS Dragon Age. You could see elements of multiplayer bs within the gameplay. All these years Bioware spent trying to undo the game from its prior GAAS stage. Smh. As for new Mass Effect not being ready for at least 6 years, well that's a big ouch especially when they chose to reveal pieces of it now.

It always felt like lip-service.

I don’t see a situation where they aren’t building NuBioware from the ground up for a third time. It’s most likely not even in development in any meaningful way.

I’ll be there day one whenever it happens. I don’t think there’s much that accomplishes the space fairing adventure the way Mass effect does. Closest thing to feeling like captain of the Enterprise.

I really hope it’s not a sequel. The ending never left much room for a direction any fan would be happy with. I sorta wouldn’t hate a reboot seeing how old BioWare is long dead anyway.

I can’t remember a thing about andromeda’s narrative 🤣
