I play A LOT of asymmetrical horror games, my favorite being Dead by Daylight with 2500 hours on pc and around 100 on Playstation. I've seen a lot of competitors rise and fall, I don't think this game has a strong IP to survive a year. They all fail within the first months sadly and I don't see this being the exception. We are just going to flood the servers the first week of release and that would be it.
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre released not long ago and is indeed a great alternative that does a lot of things right if you are interesed in the genre and has potential to survive. But is really hard to compete when you lock yourself on a single IP like they are doing with the clowns, especially if its not that big. They would have to do something really unique and fun.

it's cool they're making a game based on this cult classic but i'm bored by asymmetrical MP games
I’d have loved a more traditional single-player game based on the movie or the script for the sequel that never got made.
