There's a lot of juice left to squeeze from the 80s VHS aesthetic, kinda like Far Cry Blood Dragon:

But then just make something original. I saw this movie pretty recently and I don't see it lending well to a game. Especially when you're not playing as a Klown. They're the ones with the ray guns.
