Wow it looks so advanced, it feels like a PS6 game!!
I read its from the company of PUBG (which was the #1 battle royale game before Fortnite got its own, but PUBG still is strong these days and in my opinion the best in the genre with the most well rounded realistic graphics, gameplay, and overall depth, plus its the only battle royale game that lets players play in 1st person view besides 3rd person view. ) articles

communities really should convince inZOI devs to include first person view mode too. The Sims 4 patched that feature in years ago, it really should launch with that feature cause that is a greater level of immersion, plus it would give them a headstart if they plan a VR mode or VR version of the game.
The Sims series is currently the ultimate life sim series, but its too cartoony for people that want something more realistic as possible, and we know the industry is driven with the pursuit for greater realism. like it or not, realistic graphics sell and grab more attention than cartoon/anime, its only natural. real people relate to realism more and reality is the standard for optimum detail and quality. So its only natural for the gaming industry to gradually reach higher levels of visual realism.
The life sim genre been stagnant and no other series rivaled The Sims series until now! yea sure you have your GTAs and Cyberpunk games but none of those have the life sim depth of The Sims games, open world games and city games tend to focus on crime and violence, but The Sims encompass realistic human life and family life, relationships and stuff at a more indepth levels, while series like GTA, Yakuza and Cyberpunk are very limited in character customization/identity variety, and are carried by their narratives, loot, weapons and simple diversions. their gameplay has very shallow and narrow minded scope of human lifestyles compared to The Sims style of life sim genre. so yea each series has things others don't but yea until now there really hasn't any game that could substitute The Sims series, but glad that inZOI is being developed and it should release on PS5/new gen consoles at some point, it would be profitable for them, beneficial to Sony, and beneficial to the PS5 community too! We got games like Black Desert and PUBG, so its only natural to get inZOI too. if this game was in Epic's hands, they would be sure to port it to consoles too.
this also has the most realistic and high quality character creation too! and its even possible to make beautiful appearances! The Sims series particularly The Sims 4 is one of the few western games where beautiful people exist including in created characters that are playable, but its held back by its cartoon style, so ist not up to the reality standards that inZOI has reached much higher towards. so yea the quality speaks for itself, not just graphically but also aesthetically! It is also an example to the industry that devs shouldn't shy away from beauty especially female beauty for playable characters. Beauty sells.
the one thing that may hinder inZOI though, is that if its online only like PUBG, they they risk fumbling the game's profitability and popularity, cause all The Sims games on consoles are playable offline. if inZOi requires internet connection that would really cause a lot of customers to ignore it or wait for a sale or not able to play it if they dont have internet all the time. it really should be playable offline besides online. this isn't a PVP game so devs shouldn't be concerned with mods or cheating since it wouldn't affect other players anyways, and even if there is an online component, they could easily have offline only save slots, and server only save slots so offline modded characters can't be used online and vice versa.
though in any case, millions of people play games that are online only, but it would be a waste for a game to have a limited time usage because of dependence of online/servers. they should learn from the mistake former accessible games companies made making them online only games. if they really wanna win over more people and bring more of the The Sims communities to inZOI, it should be accessible offline besides online. I think the devs/company are not known for physical releases, but if its at least playable offline, then more would make use of it. they can still have microtransactions which would actually sell more if the game is playable offline cause that means customers would know they can keep the content they purchase even after there are no servers, so the game would still be valuable. like look at Disney Dreamlight Valley, that has MXT but its playable offline too. but yea in a way I wouldnt be surprised if its online only, but I only know the devs from PUbg, this is a different genre so maybe their foundation and business model will be different cause all this quality and effort could make them more money down the road with more editions, expansions, and incentives to purchase it since it should be playable offline besides online, but the first thing is to complete the launch version, then port it to PS5 and go from there.
with this next level graphics and stuff, this can really make the genre a splendid alternative from all those mmorpgs, violent, and mediocre looking life sim games out there. cause The Sims 4 is mad old now and a The Sims 5 really would hardly look any different. inZOI looks lightyears ahead in overall realism and graphics and quality, that it makes modern The Sims look like Play-Doh. if mainstreamers haven't found The Sims series appealing, they could start to be interested in the genre with inZOI.
