WindowsCentral is reporting that Lenovo plans to enter the handheld gaming space alongside the Steam Deck and ASUS Ally. The Legion Go is expected to ship with Windows 11, an AMD Phoenix 7040 (very similar to the Ally), and an 8-inch screen. It will likely take design cues from the Android-powered Legion Play which was leaked in January but never released.

This is great news for the handheld PC market as first-tier OEMs have access to superior screens, cooling systems, and construction materials. It also puts pressure on Valve to release SteamOS for general devices. Hopefully other PC makers like HP/Omen, Dell/Alienware, Acer, and Samsung are working on similar devices.

Initial thoughts from The Phawx here:

- Similar to devices like the Steam Deck and ASUS ROG Ally, Lenovo's "Legion Go" device will sport AMD Phoenix processing, with an 8-inch display.
- It could look similar to Lenovo's previously leaked Lenovo Legion Play Android device, which never reached general availability.
- As of right now, there's no indication of timing for official announcements or launch windows.
