For those who don't understand whats going on, a few years ago it was confirmed in an Iwata Asks that they wanted MP in Mario 64 and even had it up and running in a test level but had to cut it for either time, memory, gameplay concerns, etc. Hardcore game investigators found the remnants of this in, for instance, leftover two player options in the game's camera coding. During the Gigaleak the Luigi model was even found and shown publicly for the first time. And now, finally, this. It turns out that the second television in that video clip (the smaller one on the left) actually had a video reel that included gameplay as Luigi at an old Spaceworld but it went unnoticed by the world because it was just in a little video clip running on a Pilotwings kiosk instead of actually being playable. So we could have seen Luigi all along if only we had known where to look.

Thanks for backstory.

Its always interesting going back and seeing the development version of a game. I'd imagine they were going to add more characters initially like what you saw in mario 64 ds where you had yoshi and wario and the other additional content.
