According to redditor Scars1023, the Nintendo Switch cart includes the following games only:

• Metal Gear (MSX)
• Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake
• Metal Gear (NES)
• Snake's Revenge

That means Metal Gear Solid 1, 2, and 3 must be downloaded. The back of the Nintendo Switch box confirms the game requires a download of at least 32GB, and a microSD card is required. Konami's website offers more detail:

The games are highly associated with PlayStation. I think Sony just need to go in and buy as many IP's from Konami as possible.

Considering Kojima’s famous distaste for other platforms, it would only be right for Sony to buy Metal Gear if they could.

Sadly, the thing most western gamers don’t realize is that all the video game IPs that Konami owns and the world loves are too valuable to their pachinko/pachislot/slot machine business to ever part with any of it.
